Starting with a dream and a family farm at the base of Currahee Mountain in Toccoa, Georgia, the Dunson family created the award-winning Currahee Vineyards & Winery. What was once the family’s apple orchard was transformed into a vineyard beginning in 2009.
Complementing the original Georgia vineyard is Currahee’s Pigeon Forge tasting room and retail shop, located at 2655 Teaster Lane in The Tower Shops at Mountain Mile. The winery produces more than a dozen handcrafted wines made with Vinifera, Muscadine, and other native grapes.
Award-winning selections include Ole Blue, Blanc du Bois, and 3 Mile White, which have earned medals at the INDY International Wine Competition. Other favorites include Sweet Cheryl, Golden Harvest, Currahee Rosé, Midnight, Sunrise, Sunset, and the semi-dry Currahee Red.
Stop by the Pigeon Forge tasting room to sample Currahee’s wines, enjoy a refreshing wine slushy, and browse available merchandise. Wine selections, slushy flavors, and retail items may vary by availability.
