Founder Rod “Sarge” Parton is a fourth-generation moonshiner whose family recipes date back to 1934. A Gulf War veteran, Sarge served eight years as a U.S. Army paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne Division. He also spent 28 years in law enforcement and three years as a firefighter. The company’s name, Drop Zone, pays tribute to his service as a paratrooper.
Drop Zone Distilling Company produces a distinctive lineup of handcrafted moonshine, whiskey, bourbon, vodka, and rum, including traditional recipes and creative flavored selections. Guests ages 21 and older can sample a variety of spirits while discovering the flavors and family history that distinguish Drop Zone within East Tennessee’s distilling scene.
