King's Family Distillery

King’s Family Distillery brings award-winning spirits and a passion for whiskey to the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Founded in 2018 by husband and wife team Justin and Cara King, this family-owned distillery has grown into a standout destination for whiskey lovers visiting the Smokies, with tasting room locations in both Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.

Both Justin and Cara brought more than a decade of whiskey-industry experience to King’s Family Distillery. Justin previously served as Master Distiller at Tennessee’s first legal moonshine distillery, while Cara began her career in the whiskey industry in 2008 with her family’s grain business. Together, they combine their knowledge of the science of distillation with the art of finishing whiskey to create distinctive, award-winning spirits.

King’s Family Distillery offers a diverse lineup that includes bourbon, rye whiskey, flavored whiskey, vodka, rum, gin, brandy, and cream liqueurs. The Sevierville location also carries a small selection of moonshine rooted in classic Smoky Mountain tradition. Popular selections include Ryeconic Double-Oaked Rye, Blackberry Whiskey and Chocolate Whiskey, alongside a rotating variety of other spirits.

Visitors can experience King’s Family Distillery at its tasting rooms in Sevierville and Pigeon Forge. Complimentary tastings allow guests to sample up to 10 spirits with no purchase required, making it easy to discover a new favorite before taking a bottle home. Reservations are not required for regular tastings, and both locations are open daily.

For whiskey enthusiasts looking for an even more immersive experience, King’s Family Distillery also offers a Barrel Picks Program. Guests can spend an afternoon with Justin and Cara selecting a barrel of award-winning bourbon or rye, with advance reservations required and availability limited.
