Put your racing skills to the test at The Checkered Flag Slot Car and R/C Complex in Sevierville. This unique indoor attraction brings miniature motorsports to life with multiple professional-grade tracks designed for everyone from first-time racers to longtime slot car and R/C enthusiasts.
Start your engines on the 8-lane slot car track, a professional wooden course equipped with electronic lap counting and a race management system. Grab a controller, choose your car, and compete against family and friends to see who can master the track and capture the checkered flag.
Ready to leave the pavement behind? Take on the R/C Off-Road Course, where radio-controlled trucks and buggies navigate challenging terrain, jumps, obstacles, and changing surfaces. It’s a completely different style of racing that puts your control and driving skills to the test.
For pure speed, head to the precision-timed Drag Racing Strip and line up for a head-to-head showdown. Racers can also test their skills on the NASCAR-style oval, designed for fast-paced racing and plenty of friendly competition.
New to slot cars or R/C racing? No problem. The Checkered Flag welcomes beginners as well as experienced hobbyists, and rental cars and equipment are available so visitors can jump into the action without bringing their own setup. Knowledgeable staff can help first-time racers learn the basics and get comfortable behind the controls.
Experienced racers and hobbyists can bring their own cars and take advantage of the different tracks. The on-site Pro Shop also carries cars, parts, accessories, and other supplies for those looking to build, maintain, or upgrade their own racing setup.
Because the entire experience is indoors, The Checkered Flag is a fun option for rainy days, hot summer afternoons, or anytime you’re looking for something different to do in the Smokies. Families, friends, and racing fans can compete together while enjoying a hands-on activity away from the traditional arcade experience.
The Checkered Flag Slot Car and R/C Complex is located at 232 Collier Drive, Suite I2/3, in Sevierville. Whether you grew up racing slot cars or have never picked up a controller before, get ready to choose your track, challenge your crew, and race for the checkered flag.
